A new, 2024 lesson, all about our online privacy and protecting our data. Students will explore the concept of privacy and why it is an important Human Right. They will then investigate how they are unknowingly giving away their personal data online, whilst browsers and social media sites and stores can take this legitimately. Students will then discover how malicious actors can steal data easily and use it for nefarious purposes, whilst learning the best way to protect themselves, their data and their personal privacy. This lesson is taken from the new EC Publishing Complete PSHE Package which can be found at the EC Publishing website. A 25 minute Tutor Time session all about fast food, takeaways and the dangers of consuming too much fat. The session contains three challenge learning outcomes, slides of easy to digest information, a clip task with differentiated questions, a quiz and final reflection task. The session is editable and been created to be perfect to just pick up and use. The slides in the previews are just a sample and not the whole session. This is a 25 minute session. A one hour - 90 min long lesson suitable for KS2 (or a low ability Year 7 group), all about the meaning of body image and what makes some people have a negative or positive body image. It is well differentiated with three-level challenges for each task, contains a variety of activities, an hour long PowerPoint, a clip with questions, a literacy focus task, new key-term introductions, reading aloud materials and creative tasks. The lesson also encourages students to reflect on how the media and celebrities themselves edit their images before sharing them publicly and how we can help others to feel more body-positive. It is fully editable, engaging and very easy to follow. Growing and Changing EYFS PSHE lesson. A detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for EYFS/Reception age children. This lesson has been designed for use with children in Reception, however, the PowerPoint and activities could be adapted for use with other age groups. In this lesson, the children will learn why we grow. We will look at examples of plants and animals in nature, and also take a more detailed look at some of the stages of human life. We will read* The Growing Story* by Ruth Krauss before discussing a set of teacher-led comprehension questions, followed by a choice of adult-led or independent activities. The lesson includes a sing-along starter (to ensure a swift start to the lesson), a story with accompanying questions, an adult-led focus task, independent activities to be carried out during continuous provision, and a plenary task. Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.
